T-38 first rounds in 70 years

    Hi Guys,

So in 1960 my uncle in law, who served with may dad, and bunch of other friends and relatives in the 1st Filipino regiment during WWII, gives me a T-38. It's complete minus bolt, the mum intact, bayo, scabbard, and sling. He tells me that he brought it back from island hopping.

The first thing my 8 year old self does is.....cut the stock, cut the barrel. Gave the bayo away, lost the scabbard, the sling stank.

    Got a bolt in 2012.

Found a partial box (18 rds) of Hornady 6.5 in a local LGS for $15 bucks yesterday.

Today, I ran a snake, took the firing pin out of the bolt, loaded 5 rounds in the mag. It stripped, cycled, and ejected all 5 rounds without a hitch, smooth as glass.

The last time it had rounds chambered, the shooter was trying to kill some of my people...or maybe he did? PAX
