    Mauser Identification

Hi everybody, I am new and I am trying to identify what kind of Mauser I have, I currently believe it a mixed bag of parts, but identifying them would be great!

Looks like a JP Sauer Mod98 Mauser. Need close up of top of receiver, but that is what I can make out.

Would you happen to know what the marking is under the barrel that looks like it says 115 and has a star with what looks like a pickaxe or a T? I am also curious about the bolt it has a small circle with an Z in a circle and two more imprints I forgot to picture. And thanks for the cross check, this is the same manufacture I found as well.

Yes. I have one, a Russianicon Capture, with the same markings on the top of the receiver. JP Sauer & Sohn

    Question

If the bolt is all matching then it is from a Czechicon rifle, probably a dot code. It looks like is is a later war made bolt, but your photos leave a lot to be desired for ID.

I think he means a bit closer, maybe with a plain background. Don't use a light colored backing and no pattern. Natural light is also best for pics like this.
