    The Bayonets of KRAG

    The versatile Model of 1898 (Krag-Jorgenson) was able to adapt to the changing times by simply modifying its bayonet apparel. Listed below is the US KRAG bayonets throughout the 20th Century.
    1. Standard bayonet for the Model of 1898 US KRAG.

    2. Next, the US KRAG as used in the Great War and the Banana Wars after.

    3. The GIs best friend. The US KRAG in WW2 and Korea regalia.Attachment 79960

    4. The US KRAG as used by our allies, the ROK Marines in the 1960s.Attachment 79961

    5. And finally, the US KRAG used as a substitute M14icon for bayonet training in the Air Force, circa 1963

    More "tongue in cheek" than serious but it does show what bayonets fit the Krag and therefore fit the 1903 and M1icon (last bayonet not withstanding).
