Had this for a fair while initiator cartridge for a 3" mortar round got it from a friend along with a hand made 303 boiling out funnel as made by the armourers.

Hadn't seen them like that one. Ours were red paper WW cartridges and they had a lead coin up in the open end, I think they contained balasite. That one must be much older. Ours were for replacement in the solid cast iron training bombs.
