Ilongot custom made Franken-rifle

Born & raised, in the Philippines, to missionary parents. Their mission worked mainly with tribal groups that other missions tend to ignore. One such tribe are the Ilongot, located in the mountains of north-central Luzon. These people have been head-hunters and in WW2 they were not friends with the Japanese but they did get along with US & local guerrilla soldiers. The Ilongot frequently helped the Allied war effort by taking Japanese heads.

In Ilongot country there was a lot of WW2 equipment left by both armies. The Ilongot were very good with metal work and had access to military weapons, which they customized into other calibers or shotguns.

#1--Young Ilongot men were usually unable to find a wife, unless they had taken at least one head. This guy's hornbill earrings show that he is now eligible for marriage.

#2--The younger guy has a dubious firearm & the business end sure appears to be the barrel & gas tube from a M1 Garand. The other guy has what appears to be an Arisaka receiver, with a turned down bolt handle from a sniper version. The barrel & front sight sure looks like a US Model 1917 "Enfield".

Sure does look a lot like a collection of parts.
