Was watching the morning news today and caught the back end of our former Prime Minister John Howard being interviewed about gun control in Australia.

And what he said really had me swearing at the T.V (pointless really as he could not hear me) He said that the buy back after Port Arthur had been a resounding success removing 700,000 guns from circulation, despite what his Govt did at the time was unconstitutional and unlawful just rushed the bill through to appease the masses all bull$hite...............................
All it did was remove 700,000 legally owned firearms from legitimate shooters and did nothing to stop the black market or stealing of fire arms.
And the final burst was him stating that it helped move Australia towards a fire arm free country.
Well John I got a few words for you and its this.

"There may come a day when Australia could need the militia as it with in N.G in WWII with our armed forces hard pressed, as I for one am not going to stand on the shore throwing rocks at people because some politician said I am not a fit person to own a fire arm."

Sorry for the rant Badger but our pollies mainly the Liberals & Greens want to castrate legal gun ownership to "Zero" they are nothing but Air Thieves.
