    Longbranch in the cold...

I finally got to the range...

Went with a buddy from work. Shot my M1icon Carbine, new to me Jungle Carbine and 10-22 to warm up...

Then to the 100 yard range and the "big" guns...

    I was hooting my No4Mk1* 1943 Longbrance with re-loads. 174 g fmjbt Hornady over WC735. I started off with some 12" groups...

After about 40 rounds or so, I started to get in my "zone. My Bud was shoting my Breda Garand and he started off with a 2" group...prick...

Anyhow, near the end of the day, the sun was going down, it started to snow heavy..GREAT Canadain Weather Eh! so I say to my bud, I'll load up 8 rounds and we'll do two freash targets. 8 shots at each.

I kicked his ***. And a personal best for snow cold and rapid fire, (from a bench).

The funny part was on the last eight. We both unintentionally shot the last round the same time. I was really confused because I heard bang "PING"
For a moment i thought I was shoioting the garand...

Anyhow, these are my two last groups>

And the beer can is just for scale. I shot on Tuesday, I drank that beer last night.

    I'll take the compliment. Thanks.

I'm sure the rifle deserves more of the credit than me...

Much of the time with the old guns, a little fouling closes the group up. The back side is too much of a good thing will kill ya. With the Milsurp stuff, I run 2-5 shot groups before I try to punch paper, HTH-SDH
