So in the end you might just be buying Pat Garret's/ Billy Wilson's revolver. After all the story is that Billy never was killed as the article reminds. No one seems to actually know.

    lCuster Battlefield Colt Cavalry revolver

I like this Little Big Horn battle field pick-up better, it was not working when recovered, the
cylinder would not lock-up (hand broken ?). They found two other revolvers also not working but Capt Benteen kept this one for himself. The other two went to be rebuilt.

This later sold to a Swissicon collector for around $250.000 as I recallAttachment 118802

I like that one better too, I've been there about four times and drove past once...I saw things in the orientation center like a sling hook that was picked up the day after with the bodies and one that was found in 1984/85 after a major fire. They fell the same day at the same time but one was as issued and the other was a lump of rust. The time paradox could be felt as I looked at them. I also stood at Reno's grave and tried to imagine all he went through in his troubled life, he is buried so if he sat up he would see the area they held out over night.
    Regards, Jim
