    German 210mm Howitzer

I thought people would be interested to see this image of what is captioned as a Germanicon 210mm Howitzer apparently residing in Newquay, Cornwall in 1928. What would be interesting is to know if it survives to this day?

But what about the cars? Can we identify them by the back ends? I think an Essex car was owned around this time?

The 2 people are family members and the old Gentleman was originally from Ireland but moved to Englandicon as a much younger man. It seems sad today that he felt it necessary to drop the "O" from the beginning of his surname when moving to England, indicating his Irish roots.

A lot of history disappeared during WWII not even counting the actual war damage. I collect milk bottles and anything dated before 1945 is considered rare. Recycling drives cleaned up the dumps, sheds, barns, etc of a lot of that older stuff. I recall reading about museum ships that were cut up as well. The USS Oregon (old Battleship from Spanish American war fame) was a museum ship the navy confiscated for scrap and ended up using the hulk to store ammunition off the shore of Guam and completing the scrapping after the wars end, oddly enough in Japanicon.
