    1951 91/30 HEX Mosin Negant

Let the 1942 Turkishicon Ankara K.Kale 8mm Mauser I just posted, I got this Mosin Nagant from the same person for $150.00. I have not 91/30's then I really know what to do with but I'm a sucker for a small price tag.

At first, this one confused me, 1951 dated Mosin with a Hex receiver, What? it obviously an arsenal refinish, force matched with a hodgepodge of mixed Mfg's and Era parts. However, she is a pretty little thing and one I will more than likely keep. You know how you get that feeling like you know this rifle is going to shoot well?

I believe that to be a 1931 not 51. No such animal as Russianicon 1951 91 30. See this five on an SKS see this 91/30 production chart. https://www.m9130.info/manufacturers...duction-number also see this chart; Mosin Nagant Rifle Years of Production

Yes, which is exactly why I was confused. You are 100% correct! I took a look at the rear sight number stamping and it shows how he 5 and 3 are formed, they match up just like to say. Thank you for the help.

Many of the 1930's Mosins ended up in Spain with the Communists in their Civil war. Sometimes you find them stamped USSR or URSS by the early importers. The screwed in sling slot covers also mark this as an early example. Nice find.
