    M1 Bolt

    Have an IHC bolt, serial number D65-----, is that out of the produced by IHC rifle serial number range?

    The D65—- should be a drawing number, not a serial number. D6528287 is the drawing number for a bolt.

    Steel Suppliers

    Armco is a good guess for A, but nobody knows for sure because AFAIK a list hasn't been found. So we can't completely rule out Allegheny Steel or some other supplier. The list remains one of the elements of Garandicon history yet to be discovered.
