The D65—- should be a drawing number, not a serial number. D6528287 is the drawing number for a bolt.

Armco is a good guess for A, but nobody knows for sure because AFAIK a list hasn't been found. So we can't completely rule out Allegheny Steel or some other supplier. The list remains one of the elements of Garand history yet to be discovered.
