    My latest acquisition - CLLE Mark1* Pattern 14 .22 R.F.

    Hello all
I just picked up this .22 trainer at an auction in NZicon. It's a Sparkbrook CLLE Mark1* converted by AG Parker to Pattern 14 .22. According to Lance's fantastic book 'A Collectors View; The Lee Enfield .22-inch R.F. Rifles' this is quite a rare .22. I'm very happy to be the new caretaker of this rare bird & hope to be able to shoot it this weekend at the Nelson branch of the NZAAAHA Xmas function. Thoughts/opinions greatly appreciated.
It's missing the CLLE front fore sight protector so if anyone can help me out with a replacement please PM me

EXTREMELY RARE RIFLE, great find. When you have a chance are there any AGP marks on the barrel crown or nock?

Thanks Lance. There are no AGP markings on the barrel knox or crown. It Looks like a solid .22 barrel made by BSA has been fitted, which has the same .22 L markings as my Bonehill converted 1890 MLM.
I'm assuming this barrel is a replacement considering AG Parker carried out the conversion to Pattern 14 .22 & would have thought they would have fitted a .22 sleeved barrel with there markings on it?????

The barrel would have left AG Parker with a tubed barrel. Fortunately for you when that barrel became worn it was replaced by a solid BSA example. While technically not a .22 Pattern 1914 Long Rifle anymore yours is the first example I have seen in the wild. You definitely won the lottery on her!
