    late 1903

I looked at a rifle today that I am thinking about buying. The serial number is 1526964, the barrel is 3-39 and is star gauged. The rear sight collar has a C64122 stamped on it. the trigger has groves on it and seems to be a little wider then most I have seen and is stamped C6402. It as a straight handle bolt. The stock is an FG with BAWLL, RA-P PODD and R stamped on it. the park is black. There are no WW11 parts on it. Is this possible this was a NM rifle that got rebuilt into regular rifle at the start of WW11?

My own thoughts, the stock should be a "C'" stock with pistol grip and drawing number with SA SPG cartouche. Your bolt should be marked NS. if you remove the handguard,
do you have markings on the barrel midway ?

It is very easy to change a stock from one rifle to another
