I was feeling a binding and some times sticking trigger just before the release on my '43 M47. Well I had not had it out of the stock six years so I had a look and found a lot of dry cosmolineon the trigger and sear surface. I cleaned this off and put just a small spot of lube on the contact area then I noticed there is a lot of tension on the trigger guard frame between the king screw and the rear guard screw. The trigger feels normal now but this having to fiddle the rear screw in place bothers me. It's a lot easier to install if I insert the rear screw first and then then start the king screw but there is still more effort than on most of my other rifles. Opinions?
Cheers
