What is the cal. barrel should I be looking for to make 30.06 carbine
G'day guys.
I am looking to make another barrel for my 30.06 Brazilian
carbine. What is the barrel they used for the conversion and was it just simple have the chamber reamed to 30.06.

They used the original barrels on the rifles I believe. They would have started life most likely in 7x57mm Mauser. Since 30.06 is 7.62x63mm (I THINK...), you'd have to bore it out further along with the chamber cuts....

there are all sorts of barrels out there new in the white so it might be a good idea to ring around the gunshops ( Cleavers seem to have a lot fo stuff ) and see if by some miracle you are in luck.
Failing that, I don't beleive it is a lot to get something made by sprinter or similar.
