Need List of WWII British Leather Sling Manufacturers
I have a British
leather sling that is marked with the manufacturer, but is difficult to read. The first line appears to have a name followed by SONS. The second line is 1941 (hard to read the 1). And the third line is LONDON and may be followed by some letters. I'm looking for clues to a possible manufacturer. --TIA

Thank you. I had looked at that web page, but did not find one I thought matched. However, on further examination in different lighting and from different angles, it appears that it is D MASON & SONS. From reading several different forums and web sites, I gather that this type sling was used mostly on Home Guard rifles, Pattern 14 and Dispersals. Is that correct? Would the Leather sling be more correct for the Pattern 14 than a web sling marked M.E. Co. 1929? Thanks for any assistance.
