This is an Austrian M1888 knife bayonet, for use with the 8 mm. M1888 Mannlicher rifle. The Austrian M1895 bayonet has an inverted blade profile and lacks the muzzle ring adjustment screw. The scabbard is correct for the M1888. The M1888 scabbard is wider than the M1895 scabbard, so they are not interchangeable.

While you're there ministrymason, I don't think or can ever recall an incidence when a mystery bayonet has not been identified correctly on this site!

It is an Austrian M1888 bayonet for the Mannlicher M1888 and with the Cyrilic letter it was probably made for Bulgaria which also used this rifle. Note the screw on the crossguard which the M1895 does not have.

Thanks for the response. Interesting to know why it might have the Cyrillic letter
