Not knowing and trying to find out the answers is part of the fun in collecting M1's.

I have a SA 1.5 million rifle too, also with the SA EMcF cartouche, barrel is SA 4-43. Some of the additional parts are:
bolt -12SA heat lot S04<>
op rod rev 6 SA
trigger housing -12SA, trigger guard milled
hammer -3SA, safety -9SA
Type 2 lock bar

Question on your SA EMcF stock, do you have the small crossed cannon stamp on the bottom of the pistol grip ? Also on the left side of your stock where the clip latch is inletted, is it a flat bottom or tapered ?

If your only going to own one, that sure is a nice one to own. But I tend to doubt this will be your only M1 for long.

This is my rifle, there are many like it........but this one is mine!

I will take the gun out of the safe to have a closer look at it.
I have attached some additional photos that were taken when I bought it.
I don't believe the bolt # is correct for a gun in this serial number range.

As I said M1 rifles are definitely not my field of expertise, I only wanted one example as my collecting interests are too scattered to focus on one particular model.

Is 1-S-A-12-43 correct for a EMcF inspected, 1722249 serial numbered gun?








I guess it is time that I start to find out what this gun is all about!
