Rhineland Arms 45 conversion kits
Anyone have one of these that they have put together? I spotted one for sale and was curious about them. Watching videos, it appears they do not cycle well. The one that is for sale has not had the best stock work done to it but looks salvageable although his price seems high at $300 when the kit costs $150 and its based on a Turkish
Mauser. He also claims it does not cycle well after the 4th round.
Fixed up, it might be an interesting looking piece that's fun to shoot.

I wouldn't mind one of the 7.62x39...or .45. I'm sure they could be made to function.

I saw the 7.63x39 on their website. Thinking that might be a better way to go. Looked over the one for sale and it's been drilled and tapped and has some other issues. I think I'll pass on it.

Let us know how the 7.62x39 goes. That could be lots of fun. Ammo won't be much of an issue either, cheap enough. The one in .45 mag might be OK for the US crowd too. We have blocked mags here so that one's out for me.

I don't know, they may make them for a Springfield. Check out their website.

I was just wondering if a guy could change them over. Not sure how different that would be, the receiver threads...without checking the book. Anyway, I can't get them up here...I'd have to do the whole thing myself.

I bought 4 kits for the Enfield about 11 years ago, they were well made and at the time worked out about £70 each, I couldn't even buy half a barrel blank for that price. I've built a few Enfields in .45 and 1x Mauser, I made my own barrel for the Mauser but never got round to fitting a magazine etc.
