I posted 4 handgurds to John, two were freebies and two he paid for, postage was £8.00 (airmail)........ Couriers are good in the UKicon such as Collect+ and Hermes etc (Hermes seems to have cornered the market and probably the cheapest), but for anything international Royal Mail or Parcelforce probably the best, (although I did have a few issues with Royal Mail this year.........)

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. For ANY UKicon standard and none standard taps and dies shipped to North America you cannot beat TRACY TOOLS..
Do a google search for them.
    Russ will treat you right.
Prices are great and shipping does not include 2X regular rate.
I've used them for years and never had a problem.

Nope, me again, to say that I've found him a 1/4 BSF 2nd tap (part taper tap) in good condition and I will ask in my local post office as to how much it would cost to send to North America, in the cheapest possible way. I've tried it out today so I know that it is in good order.

BIG thanks to Flying10uk for his generosity in sending me a tap free of charge!

I'm truly humbled by all the help I've received from members on this build.

Another victory on the 20 dollar T front!
The tap from most generous Flying10uk showed up and I swiftly put it to work.
I spared no Magic Tap and backed out the tap every 1/3-1/2 turn as it worked it's way through the tired, corroded threads.
Once what little resistance I felt let loose I ran the tap it's full travel to hopefully flush out any remaining rust.

One chapter finished and new one to begin, stocking up!

After a brief hiatus (new baby) Im back at it.

Started fitting the stock and already have a problem I need sone advice on.

The stock seems too long?? It wont clear the front sight. Its tight against the wrist and ive tried every angle to get it to drop in but it doesnt want to clear.

    What do you guys think?

Is the front sight protector screw in place as it seems there is an empty hole where it should be going from Left to Right as it may be set to far back and stuck in place for some reason/back to front maybe ! I mean she is a $20 rifle!
    Good to follow your progress.
