It's still there. Type in the auction #17190627 on gunauction.com (not gunbroker).
I have typical concerns: How close to authentic, etc. It has a scant stock with a double circle P. A Lyman Alaskan scope, not a Weaver. Price is $4250.

Its a nice rifle, but in my opinion, priced high. The stock is original, all the metal components are refinished, and as you pointed out, its a replacement scope.
That's not a knock on the rifle. This is the most common way to find these. Many did not make it through their service life without a refinish, and most were sold without a scope. Putting a Lyman on was the easiest way to make them close to correct.
But at that price, you could find an all original rifle, or at least, a nicely restored rifle, with a little patience. This on is perfectly fine as a shooter, but priced about 1k too high in my opinion.

Agree with the high price. But need better pictures of the bolt cutout in the stock and pictures of the bolt handle to determine if the stock and bolt are original and not reproductions. For that price they need more detailed pictures.

I don't think the Lyman was mounted on the A4 (until perhaps post-war). Lyman and Weaver both relied on the Bausch & Lomb to grind lens and B&L was overworked with making lens for binoculars, periscopes, gunsights. Rifle scope lens had a low priority and Remington got backlogged on rifles they couldn't finish because of the lack of scopes. BTW, Lyman provided 100 Alaskans to Canada
where they were mounted on the No. 4 (T). The scopes were used in a clone of the G&H mount that was licensed to Canada.
