Long Branch marking question?
Hi all, I am trying to determine the significance of the marking B12 on the right hand socket of my 1942 Long Branch No.4 MK.I*.
I have not come across this before. Any ideas?
thanks

The only thing I could find in Skennerton
's "The Broad Arrow" was a B used by BSA Shirley from 1941-1955 on "Receiver, component parts".
It doesn't make any sense that it would be on a Long Branch.
Must be some kind of a unit or rack marking?
Regards,
Badger

Howdy Badger
I was thinking the same thing (unit or rack number) it just seemed odd that it was stamped on the metal socket (and not the butt).
best regards
