I have a Erfurt 1915 KAR 98 Serial Number 1846. It was handed down to me from my Grandfather that was in Germanyicon during WWII. I do not know much history about it other then my grandfather brought it back. He was killed in a car wreck when my mother was only 6 yrs old.

The serial number all match on all the components except for the muzzle cap on the end of the barrel. It has the Prussian eagle stamps stamped in several places as well as it looks like the geman swastika "maybe" under the eagle. It does not have a top piece of the stock above the forearm and it has the original sling. The stock seems to be walnut.

It is in great condition and looks really nice. I will post some pictures of it tonight.
