I purchased a number of the Korean made 30-round magazines back in Fall of 2009. Not knowing how the spring would hold up over time, I decided a long term test was in order. In November 2009 I loaded one 30 round magazine and placed in it the back of my safe. I would occasionally handle and move the mag, but I did not unload or reload it across the last 15 months. I took the loaded magazine to the range on Thursday, January 26, 2011, for a test firing. It worked flawlessly with no misfeeds or jams. I was surprised that even the last round slid into the chamber with no issues.

Ok, there you guys have it - I fully endorse the Korean-made, brown paper wrapped magazines for non-collecting purposes.

General Info:
One New Korean-made 30-rd mag marked “UU” removed from wrapped in November 2009
30 rounds of factory fresh (2009) Remington 110 gr FMJ ammo
One fire-rated gun safe with goldenrod plus silica cans
One IBM carbine (rack-grade) manufactured in October 1943
One paper target with 30 freshly punched holes

Seriously, I wish I could find pistol mags this dependable at $10 a pop!
