Picked up a 7/42 dated India Pattern P-1943 MkI*. Conventional wisdom says it should be a cut down P-1907 with a fuller still present on the blade. After much head scratching and research, I might have an oddball. This bayonet was produced in the MkII pattern, but is marked MkI*. May be a transitional due to 7/42 date. marked: Crown

Has SI over 355 and FI over 110 and a 28 on the backside. Will try to post pics in AM. Came in with a batch from Egypt. Very interesting. Any further info would be appreciated....
