    Armistice Day at the Range

An all day affair, with old and new rifles. Folk next to us were doing a magazine article on a new AI chassis, a new suppressor, and a new Nightforce reticle. (I promised not to plaster photos their new gear on the net, but will after the Harris Publication is out- maybe!)

There was a cease fire for about an hour during the eleventh hour.

Targets ranged from 100 to 675 yards.

    Some photos:

Kinda breezy, and it showed at 675yds.

This rifle gave me fits! Put it up after fighting with it for a while, but was later able to get it on target at 500yds using Greek surplus M2 ball rather than the 1969 LC M2 that was used at first.

Below: My very first centerfire rifle!: No.1 Mk.III* BSA 1918 with a '26 Enfield barrel and other assorted Enfield small parts. No restoration ever done, but I did lightly sand the stock in high school. Markings on the wood are still mostly intact, fortunately...

The windage adjustments were handly when working on the smaller steel targets past 300 yards. With a friend spotting, we were able to make good hits all the way back to 675. It would have been much easier if the front sight wasn't a little too tall, thus throwing off the range settings. Greek surplus ammo again.

Surprisingly, there's several rifles of which no photos were taken! Too busy shooting, yakking, repainting targets, and tinkering probably.
