The Indian Sten guns were modified to take this bayonet. I think that it's all illustrated in that super little book from Collector Grade called The Sten Machine Carbine. The author tells me that he's never seen one in the flesh but the drawings were sent to the UKwith a view to it being utilised. Alas, the UK Military were of the school of thought that '.....if you need a bayonet on a sub machine gun, then you REALLY do need a bayonet'. Funny how 10 years later they insisted on one for the Sterling L2 SMG's!
Incidentally, that little book is a really good read and I suggest that everyone ought to buy two copies. One to keep on your bookshelf and another to avidly read. And it's cheap too!
What are the grips made of Porterkids? Is it that red fiberous stuff that we used to use as machette handle grips?
I seem to remember from the drawings that the Thompson was adapted for it as well
