Enforcer 706 - Long Branch Action

The action of Enforcer #706 was discovered and posted originally as part the Strange Enforcer Thread. It was found in part of the surviving inventory from the Enforcer program which had been purchased by an RFD in Englandicon. When purchased the action was still wrapped in wax paper as pictured.

The action is a 1943 Long Branch 55L4412 and carries similar inspection marks to other Long Branch actions that have been through the FTR program. I have tried to provide close ups of the stamps where possible.

After much searching wood(#558), magazine(#187) and safety were found. The Enforcer barrel could not be located resulting in an L42 barrel being used. The rifle was assembled by a competent smith and proofed at the London proof house. The bolt was stamped 706 to make sure it does not get crossed up and is done in a way that intentionally does not resemble any Enforcer assembled during the active program.

After years of searching an Enforcer Barrel has been located and will be installed on the rifle.
In the group pictures 706 is the rifle on the far left, currently sporting a more modern 4-10x45 Pecar with tactical turrets and #4 reticule.

There is at least one other Long Branch action that made it to a similar state within the program; engraved , not assembled wrapped in wax paper.
