If it is a Marlin stock, then why does it have the Winchester W too?
For sure the stock in this thread is in NO way a Winchester made or used stock. It has been discussed many times online as something Winchester had nothing to do with by people with vastly more knowledge of the M-1/2 carbine then me. Another point to make is that there are numbers and letters on carbine stocks that have nothing to do with who made them. That may or may not explain your large W in the slingwell of your stock. BTW, I too would like to see pictures of the ordnance wheel and slingwell of your stock just to see what you have.
