P14 grenade discharger cup adapter

Hi All

I am looking for any information on the P14 grenade discharger cup adapter, used to mount an SMLE cup to a P14 rifle. I have recovered a number from a British army dump in the UK but can find little, if anything, about them. The net appears devoid of any information at all about this item, so I thought I'd see if any of you guys have any info on them!
