I am an avid collector of all things Sterling SMG related. As well as the Guns (Deactivated) themselves in the UK.
I picked this Barrel removal tool up recently. & thought some of you might like to see it as well?
When I was a Service armourer, we had nothing like this then. A simple slam down of the receiver end. On a wooden bench top. of if you had a tight fitting barrel, a brass punch & Hammer sufficed!
As it is marked Patchett Machine Carbine, it is an early tool. Weather Comercial or not, I cannot acertain for sure. It MIGHT even have emanated from the Sterling Factory itself.
When George Patchett Owned it back then. As a factory tool?
Well made, & neatly stamped with the nomenclature, I feel it is certainly genuine.
Anyway! Another Accessory I did not know existed! Enjoy!
