i love living in the country. i get out and about with work so i get to see lots of interesting places and meet some really nice people. when i'm out on properties (farms) i always ask about .303 brass for reloading. cheap/free brass will be useful when i get to the reloading stage plus it is a good icebreaker for finding other lee enfield stuff.
today i got to check out a 1928 LithgowmkIII. the butt was a bit beaten about but the rest looked pretty good. still full wood, the only thing missing was the cut off. even better was the story, his grandfather had been in the home guard during ww2 and had bought the rifle in 1947. the original purchase receipts are still in the butt trap.
by far the most interesting thing that has happened at work in the last week or three.Information
