    Fulton 'no tap' mount...

So I ordered a Fulton mount from Brian Dickicon and BDLicon about a week ago and I have to say WOW! Everything about this mount screams quality... Even when it's just sitting in your hand. It's solid with a healthy weight and very well made.

I finally today had the opportunity to install it and decided to put in on my new Mk2. I don't know if that the rifle I'll keep it on but for now it'll do and in another hundred rounds or so will give me an opportunity to really see how accurate the rifle is. It took some playing around with the square nut to get it to sit right but once I did it really was 'drop in' and fit perfectly. No filing or alteration of the nut needed. Someone really needs to produce some detailed instructions on how to install this thing. It won't be me tho cuz I really have no idea how I did it, just fiddled around until it magically dropped in perfect. Once installed the mount is solid and there's no question of it coming loose or failing. I'm very impressed and since I did consider a couple cheaper options I'm very glad a bit the bullet and went with this one. I have a cheap 4x Leupold sitting around I'll slap on for fun and stretch her legs next weekend.

    Thanks again Brian!

I also have to say, after installing this mount and seeing how solid it is, I have to wonder why the Britishicon didn't go with a set up like this for their sniper rifles in WWII? The mount system they went with seems incredibly over complicated in comparison...
