good evening, I recently purchased a LSA COL shtle 1918 mark 3 * which has been sportize. The odd thing is that the overall length of the gun is 39.5 inches long. Barrel length 20 inches. I read on the forun where some enfield were cut down but they really don't know why. My questions is do I have a rifle that was cut down after Military life or was it done in its military life. Is there a way to tell. It does have england stamp on the band but I believe that is a private export mark. Any thought would be helpful.
