I have had P'14 bases & rings made in the past - I even had some rings in 7/8" & some 1" so that either a Model 1918 or an Aldis could be fitted. Unfortunately these old mount systems are very labour intensive to make (= expensive) & since my machinist died I've not been able to find someone who can make them to the requisite standard for an acceptable price. Indeed, the same can be said for several of the mount systems I've had made in the past. I want to do more but the only cost effective solution that I can see is finding a retired Rolls Royce toolmaker who has a passion for model engineering, a fully equipped garage/garden shed workshop, & a wife with expensive tastes! Unless, of course, Sam comes up with something...........
