    BR rust/pitting problems

Out of three new ones, I got one that is a real problem. A 3.3 (Dec.'44) with a 1-45 barrel. MW is 5, TE is almost 8. Trying to salvage the receiver, but there is a good deal of rust/pitting on a critical area of the receiver. Where the barrel shoulder meets the receiver, it is nice and clean. Immediately beyond that, it is really ugly almost half way around the face of the receiver outside the clean matchup. Is it worth it to work over the receiver with a dremel or something to remove the corrosion? Or is this just a wall hanger or of interest only because it probably is original? All three barrels are dirtier than anything I've ever seen. Makes me wonder if the Greeks EVER cleaned them. Thank you for any help and advice.
