1911A1 question: Should I leave well enough alone?

I participated in Round 2 of the CMP 1911A1 drawing and got one with a Remington Rand frame and a Colt slide.

I got the opposite. A 1924 Colt frame, but the usually ubiquitous Remington Rand slide. Go figure! Do slides swap without issues, usually?
