The 88 was a Steyr, Austrian (I might be wrong with the exact designation. Not an age I ever cared for…). But it will be there tomorrow. I should go shooting (if nothing crosses my path) and check.

Yes there are two Steyr 88 rifles . The Austrian M-88 and the Gew-88 .
