Pictures of rejected No.4 Mk1(T) rifles

Shown are two 1945 vintage (Dr. Payneicon's theory that most would be 1945 date may well be correct) No.4 Mk1 rifles with the TR cancelled. The rifles are good examples of condition--good and not so good. I am glad I don't collect by condition.

The possible cause of rejection for the good rifle is that the front sight base is solid and does not accept the front sight pinch screw.

Neither rifle has the "T" marking on the left receiver flat. The markings to the left of the good rifle's cancellation markings relate to the importer.
