Scope Mounting - M1A

I recently got a Sadlak scope mount for my M1A. In order to mount, it appears I need to remove the "clip" guide from the receiver. I note that the guide has either a roll pin or a very small allen head screw.

My eyes suck and I cannot tell if it is a roll pin or an allen. Which is it?

Thanks for any input.

ps. Does one just "tap" the clip guide out with a shielded punch?
