No exciting story, over the last two years I had stumbled into original and early,IP,S'G' and Rock-Ola. That set the hook pretty deep. I was hoping to get a Highwood M1A1from the CMP
to add to my set but the price's were pretty scary.
This showed up on Gunbroker in June labeled as a estate consignment from a shop. I talked to the seller alot but ran out of money. In July he e-mailed and said he took it as a return to save the marriage of the high bidder. We negotiated on it and I was able to put it in long term layaway with him, which was nice as my work hours were cut to 32 all summer..
I paid quite a bit, but I think it was a bargain compared to what some of the nicer CMP guns went for. I sold my two Blue Sky Inlands, one in a repo M1A1 stock and two extra 1903's and some spare parts that were laying around I did well on those and it covered a good chunk of the M1A1.
