Hey man, to look a war movie with two nice babes ( one is called Lee the other one Winchester) is not a problem. A little difficulter is to explain the hole in the new flatscreen to your wife! "Honey i saw the enemy in his back and he wouldt shot him, but i was faster". Her reaction...

    Best regards

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Ok,
I guess it's alright to talk about this here, looks like I'm not the only one. Two weeks ago I was doing the same thing, "scheduled maintanance" on a WWII Browning Hi Power. Schwan man knocks on the door and I answer holding Pistole 640b. Never even realized it until he left. After reading this thread, it just now clicked,,,, he didn't knock this Friday, I saw him drive up and then leave, found the ad paper lying on the step. Wonder if he's spooked? Didn't mean to,,,

Dunno, guess its just another mental deviation that I have but I do find myself sitting in the gun room with a VZ58 over the shoulder while I absently cycle the bolt on one of my 1919's thinking about how to convert that thompson sitting on the shelf

But when watching movies and the wife's around I would have to put the gun under the cushions of the couch so I can fondle it secretly, I think the wife is about to put me in rehab because of my second ammendmentitus

I have to admit that I have sat watching the ol' WWII movies with a gun or two. Most of the time I just check out the authenticity of the weapons they have on the show.

My favorite show to do this with is Kelly's Heros. Why? I'm not sure, it is probably one of the weirdest WWII movies I've seen. They injected a bit of the 60's hippies with WWII vets? Not sure why, probably the same reason that black sheep squadron had skin tight flight suits and long hair. Being a Marine in aviation I can tell you that never would have flown (pardon the pun)

    How many are here

Addiction!!! Addiction!!! Addiction!!! Once you take one out to just touch it or caress it, you've got a problem. The others will get jealous without their fair share of attention and then you have to take the time to make them all feel better. It's like eating Fritos...you can't stop with just one !!!

I have my H&R M1icon standing at attention at the desk as I am typing this. Rescued it several years ago and restocked it with a Bishop (yes, I go that far back with an M1) semi-fancy stock. It was a reparked rifle with no particular history except for being mostly H&R and darned clean. Someone had it with a new SA barrel, so it will last me my lifetime. Seriously, I tend to keep my latest acquisition in my office for some time period after it comes home or I get it finished in the shop.
