How many peeled 'nanner barrlels have I seen over the years? Mmmm, probably a bushel basket or so. Rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns. Very few that looked like manufacturing or steel defects. Only one stands out in my memory- a Ruger Super Blackhawk whose barrel ruptured from the frame almost to the muzzle. You could see the inclusions and coarse grain structure almost w/o magnification.

Remingtons don't seem to suffer any more dramas than anyone else. Amazing, almost, as there's no proof laws in the U.S.

Was just sent a link to You Tube with a story by CNBC about the Remington 700 rifle. This program dispells the belief that the 700 has trigger problems showing documentation that was never refered to in the original broadcast. Hopefully you can find it as it is very intersting.

Thanks Badger for posting the You Tube Video.

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
