We've got an Indian Army Liaison Officer with us at Warminster. All of those we've had are real pukka chaps The current one is a paratrooper. The last but one invited me over to stay in the mess at Birrelli near New Delhi to see the Republic Day Parade but events overtook us here. Apparently, their Regimental Depots are still based on 1950's Aldershot. Their Officers still come here for some training and it's nice to see them. They can't believe that we have such a small, and getting smaller, Army!

In fact I think we should send a couple of gunboats out and take back all of those rebellious colonies like America, Canadaicon, New Zealand, Australiaicon and Rhodesia, the rest of Africa and Malaya. That's show em!

What this has got to do with 10" SLR bayonets I just don't know

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail.
