A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hello all.

I am a lifelong shooter living in Franceicon (where I get to keep all my toys for the moment). I came across this forum whilst looking for an L42 A1, and found some excellent reference and info. Finally decided to join and have a more thorough poke around.

Current inventory (all up and running) includes :

    L1A1 1964, excellent nick
30 M1icon Carbine, winchester 1942 iffy but fun
    Tanfoglio limited custom 40 SW
    Tanfoglio Stock 9mm
    SW 629 44 Mag 5"
    SW 686 357 Mag 4"
    Walther P22 for the garden

Some of it is not exactly milsurp, but there you go...

Although this is not really the place for it, on the offchance that someone who reads the intros may be able to help, I am looking for :

Enfield No 4 t, UKicon origin, more than two grooves with diopter
L42A1 complete with case, scope and goodies
Original IWS for L1A1 in working condition
    L2A2 Trilux in good condition
    L12A1 .22 conversion kit for L1A1
Any other original accessories for L1A1

    Bye for now.........

    Hi there,

New to milsurps. Have been interested in guns since I was a kid.
I only have an AK47-22 left. Had to sell my G3 and AR-15 due to financial difficulties. Things are looking better and hopefully I'll be able to get back into picking up some new stuff. Hope to banter back and forth in the future.

    Cheers,

    HGB223

    Hello Everyone!

I am extremely excited to be able to glean information about the M1icon Garand rifle from the members of this forum. I consider myself privileged to be able to read the posts by such a knowledgeable group of people. I own one NM Garand that I have not taken delivery of but expect to do so this month. It is a 1960 NM Type II in excellent condition. I have never fired an M1 rifle but have owned one previously that I acquired from Scott Duff. I sold that one but intend to hold on to future purchases. Anyway, I will read as many of the threads as possible before posing any questions to the forum members. Thanks for having me!

I have been lurking here since the spring. In this area, there are several CGNs with whom I have associated and shot at two different ranges, Stitsvile and Danford Lake. One of my friends is well known on CGN Milsurp as a SMLE reconditioning expert and the image below is of me at Danford Lake Nov. 11th last.

Another reason is that I only challenged the PAL yesterday, having only obtained a POL initially. By the end of January, I hope to that that matter regulated.

    Hello there:
Found you all while looking for photos of the Ross M1910 rifle. Great site been looking around here for 2.5 Hrs. and increased my knowledge by quite a bit as to Ross rifles. My only Canadianicon rifles are Long Branch No.4 Mk I*s [5 of them] and a Savage No.4 Mk I* W/ a C^ on the receiver.
Main collecting fields are Japanicon and Russiaicon. Japan I guess, is because my dad fought them in WW II from the deck of the light cruiser USS Mobile CL 63 and the Russian because their quite economical for now. But as my signature says more or less...I know no borders or time periods to collecting fire arms. I start in early 1870 US and go up from there. I've just recently started building rifles { AR 15, PSL and a few AK verisions }.
Reload my own ammo as some of that stuff is way too expensive to buy factory made. My calibers start at 5.45 x 39mm and go up to 50/70 Springfield.
Enough for now I don't need to put any body to sleep.
