I bought it "Bubba'd" and all replacement fittings and wood are correct except for the mag. Need one marked for Longbranch. Rifle has no import stamps and is in excellent condition.

My mistake on the above serial #. I put another L in there. There is only one. Correct serial is 68l5312.

    LB No4 MK1* serail number

I have a Longbranch 1942 No4 Mk1* serial number 8L0071 that appears to have gone through a rebuild as the receiver looks to be parkerized but the barrel is blued. What is odd is that the barrel has 6 grooves whereas I've only read about 5 or less. The barrel has the Canadianicon 'C' with the arrow inside next to the number 35 and a lightly stamped 5 above that number. It has a crest stamped in it consisting of crossed flags, a crown at the top, a P at the bottom, and a partial character on either side. There is also a '50 stamped nearby the crest. So, if I did my research correctly it was produced in 1942, refurbed in 1950, using a barrell made in 1935? Receiver and barrel both have the same acceptance stamp. Receiver and bolt serial numbers match. So far everything but the trigger has the LB stamp, the trigger is marked with a square 'S' (Savage?).
