    JP, so what your saying is I would be better off finding an older mag as the four I have access to are WWII (2) or WWII (2)replicas .

    No. The later magazines are fine as long as the follower button has not been modified. If the diameter of the button is within the measurements I gave, it should work fine if the magazine latches up properly in the frame. As far as the repros, some work fine while others don't, as quality is good on some, questionable on others.
    The early magazines are scarce as hen's teeth, and very pricey as they were used only in the first 900 or so Lugers.

    JP, I got a new spring and the only way it works is if I hold the mag in tight. But my friends does not work in mine either (though I did not try holding his mag tight for some reason). He seems to think it is internal with the gun itself. (mag catch) the mag button measurement is .333 and that's a guess as my caliper needs a battery too. aprox. 1/3 between 3and 4.
