If you read my post you will see I mention that he has it. Meaning it will be included with the barreled action I am getting.

Why do you assume the gunsmithing and the wood working werre done buy the same person? I would assume he took it to a gun smith to have the barrel fit to the receiver and the bolt headspaced. And the wood work was done by the owner.
In any case I will be only getting the barreled action and all metal. I won't be trusting anything about it. It will go to a local gunsmith to have the existing work checked out before I do any work towards a proper stock. I'll cast the chamber and slug the barrel to make sure of what its supposed to be firing. And then based on that I will decide what I'm going to do with it.
I'm hoping it can end up either a bench rifle or a heavy varmit rifle. I might even decide to put the barrel in my lathe and reduce its mass or my milling machine and flute it.
