Look at Riceones page above and you will see a 6th Nogoya series . I have a 6th series paid $200 for it last year. All match ser. ## Shoots great, chrome bore ,barrel bolt handle, ladder site , short cleaning rod,no AA sites and plain barrel band no place for mono-pod.

There is something wrong with this gun. That has to be a third series. If it is a six series it is a put together gun. The gun has aircraft sights, six series did not. It has a staight stock cut like a third series. It has a type A upper barrel band with long cleaning rod, like a third series . But he said that it did not have a crome bore, a third series will. The rifle is a series 6. The series 6 did not have dust covers. These were eliminated sometime in the 5th series. The series 6 also did not have a monopod and the barrel band would not have the type band with the barrel band lug... it would have the band without the lug hole. Also by this time the anti aircraft folding out sights were dis continued. The main thing that brings the value down on this rifle is the miss matched bolt. If the sling was origonal this would add $125 to $175 but the sling is a repro .Value would be $200 to $250. But still a nice looking rifle

Like I said there is something wrong with this gun. Get your books out. This cannot be a series 6! If it is marked series 6 on the reciever then it is a put together gun. Detroit-1

Series 3
It's a series 3 not a 6. On the front leg of the series 6 mark the leg is shorter that the rear leg. It just has to many early features to be a series 6. The series 6 mark looks like up side
down flatened L laying on it's side. The mark on that t99 looks like a up side down V. I don't think the tops are really togeather. They just look like they are in the photo. Also the bolt is Kokura not Nagoya.

The rifle picture showing the series symbol is a series 6 symbol. Not a type 3 symbol. As far as the rest of the gun it looks like a put togeather rifle with all the wrong parts. Maybe someone thought it was a series 3 symbol and tryed to get the parts to make it look like a series 3 might look. Pass on it and check out the type 38 very close before you buy it.
