Thank you very much for letting me join, this looks like a great site full of information about military firearms. 62 years old, retired and enjoy shooting rifles, revolvers and pistols like the 98 Mauser, M1icon Garand, S&W revolvers, Colt 1911 and Browning Hi Power. Hope to post many times in the future.

I'm a newby looking for information?

Greetings! I found this site, while searching for information on a Enfield 303 I purchased at an auction tonight. I live near the head of the Great Lakes in MN. This purchase is a treat for my son, being his birthday is upon me.........again! This was just one of those "had to have it" moments! Just the feel and touch of this ole timer, has got me drueling for it's history. My boy just finished his 7th year of deployment of overseas duty, and has taken a full year off. We will be celebrating his 24 years of service to his country too! He's coming in from Anchorage and I'm hoping to have the history by the time he arrives. Not quite sure just where to start asking questions, but I'll get the hang of it I'm sure. Guidence is most welcomed! Will be delivering this Enfield to our local gunshop for cleaning and servicing, because as stated, I'm that much of a newby. Now, off to find a thread, or create one to start asking some questions.............

    Hello everyone,
Newbie here, looking to listen and learn all I can about the world of historic service rifles. I hope to get a 4T copy, a K98icon and Moisin too eventually, but first a nice Mk 4 to learn on!
I used to live in the good ole USAicon and have fired modern sporting rifles, out hunting etc in Oregon and NM but always hankered after the military rifles of WW2.
Now back in the UKicon for many years and decided it is time to scratch that itch! So joined my local Somerset Club, whcih is full of very helpful and knowledgable folk who are being most kind and giving me advice and support in all things Enfield and .303. Thank you to them and all the best to you all here at Milsurps.

    Finally a reason to speak.

I'm sort of a new member but never really introduced myself. I finally got me a surplus rifle, a Martini 303, and I have now a reason to talk.

    Greeting to all .

Hi everyone, I am not a collector but in my business as an Ebay Trading Assistant, I sometimes get military items for auction so I thought I could just post something here when I get some interesting things. I'll post them in the want to sell section.

Hello, been collecting miltary gear since I was a kid and finally stumbled across this thread decades later!

I've lived and travelled all over the world and recently have been deployed to the usual hot spots (hopefully done with all that).
